How To Layer for Winter and Still Be Stylish

It’s week 3 of my 30-day no shopping challenge! How is it going for you guys?! Remember to share your outfits with #TTnoshopping! I’ve had the urge to online shop a few times, but this series and knowing that you guys are sticking to it keep me accountable! For this week’s challenge I want to encourage you to play around with layers. While we were in Wyoming over Christmas I paired some items that I never thought about layering before. With limited clothes for this two-week trip (obviously winter clothes take up a LOT of suitcase space!), I had to get creative with how I styled these items. For example I usually wear this pink sweater by itself or under a jacket, but since it was freezing there I decided to put this turtleneck underneath for extra warmth. I love how it turned out! So this week I challenge you to go look at your closet and find new ways to layer the items you already own.

Start with a thin base layer (turtleneck, T-shirt, cami, etc.) and work your way up from there. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box. Throw on a few items even if you aren’t sure about how they’ll look together. If they are horrible just laugh at yourself and take them off. Try again until you look in the mirror and think, “dang, why didn’t I think of this before?!”
